I engaged him for an urgent lock problem at a tenanted flat. He opened the door and said the gearbox needed replacing. He later returned saying he was fitting a temporary lock but became argumentative and abandoned the job.
On the calls, I repeatedly explained that I was not asking him to carry out further door work that evening. I was only asking whether he had inspected separate alignment issues and could offer a permanent repair. He nevertheless accused me of being “condescending”, misrepresented what I was asking and said he was leaving.
Most concerningly, the flat was not left properly secure. My tenants reported that the door could not be locked properly, and he later stated in writing that he had removed the temporary lock because he considered me rude.
Poor communication, lateness, an incomplete job, hostile behaviour and tenants left with an insecure door. I would not use or recommend this business.
