We’re now selling a wide range of hand painted furniture, pyrography tables, lampshades and cushions, which complement our artist’s work. Our furniture paint effect and technique workshops using chalk paint, a decorative paint by Annie Sloan and simple upholstery classes are very popular, so booking is essential. We are starting new classes in the art of pyrography later this year! Since being established as a contemporary art gallery back in 2008, The Laurel Gallery is fully committed to showing work by contemporary British artists and sources most of the artwork exhibited in our small art gallery in Edinburgh from Scottish and British artists. We have a real passion for art and we feel that this shows in every single one of the art exhibitions that we put on throughout Edinburgh, Midlothian. This is one of the main reasons why we firmly believe that we should be your first and only port of call for art exhibitions, contemporary art, giclee prints, ceramics, sculptures, glass art and jewellery, anywhere in the Edinburgh area of Midlothian.

At The Laurel Gallery, we also offer art, craft and painted furniture techniques and effects workshops, you can see a full overview of the workshop classes available by visiting our website. The Laurel Gallery Reviews

Fresh gallery

A fresh looking gallery which rotates its exhibits very regularly. Seems to have a mix of high quality, but reasonably priced, jewellery and designer gifts plus a wide range of mixed artists' original works. Gallery staff were knowledgeable and great to deal with. Great start - worth a visit.

Excellent Advice

We urgently required some chalk paint for some work we needed to finish. The Laurel Gallery were well stocked, allowed us to meet them out of business hours on a Bank Holiday and provided excellent advice and guide colour and technique to get it right the first time.

Very passionate, and great!

What a wonderful gallery and paint shop, I popped in to buy sample pots of Annie Sloan paints and Eleanor who served me couldn't have been more helpful, didn't feel pushed into buying anything Eleanor sheer passion for the what she sells is enough in itself. Apparently they run workshops as well which I will be popping along to.
