I have just had a wonderful December day bagging Wainwrights in the Western Lake District with Ben. Ben is an experienced and knowledgeable guide as well as being friendly and easy company. This is my second trip out with him and the route and pace were perfect.

I really enjoyed doing the NNAS Bronze Award with Ben. The information he provided beforehand was clear; Ben created an enjoyable and relaxed learning environment; he catered well for members of the group with different ability levels; and there was a good mix between theory sessions inside and practical experience outside. Ben was careful to get the members of the group to introduce themselves at the outset, and the three of us on the course got on very well together as a result. We covered all aspects of the NNAS Bronze syllabus and occasionally, where appropriate, went beyond it. Ben offers a very good combination of expert knowledge and experience on the one hand, along with, on the other, very good teaching methods which are underpinned by his training and experience as a school teacher. I am very happy that I have already booked to do the NNAS Silver Award with Ben.
