Meadow Lakes is our brand new Business Of The Month. We sat down with the owners and asked them a few questions.
Meadow Lakes was bought by Acorn Parks Ltd in November 2009, so it’s our 10thyear this year. Acorn Parks already owned two other parks in Cornwall and we saw Meadow Lakes (we renamed it) for sale in April 2009. We viewed it at this time and then made an offer fairly quickly with the backing of our bank.Exchange of contracts was June and we completed the purchase on 3rd November2009.
We had plans of how to improve the park and this was programmed into start 2 days after completion which was both new construction such as a new entrance road along with demolition of various disused buildings. The park had great potential with a large amount of planning that had not been utilised and this is the main reason we purchased the park along with it being 56 acres of gorgeous countryside, lakes and wooded area. Various improvements and general on goingwork still continues.
We have also continued develop our other two properties in Cornwall along with Meadow Lakes so it has been a very busy ten years.
There is no normal day at Meadow Lakes , we actively encourage it!
We range from major maintenance programmes to basic everyday upkeep but what we mustn’t forget, is our main aim is to provide families with their much deserved holiday and greeting them to their stay how you would wish to be greeted ,giving them an experience that they will wish to repeat for many years to come.
My personal favourite part if my role at Meadow lakes is the variety of things I will be involved in on a daily basis. Meadow Lakes is a glorious park to work on and getting it ready for people to arrive to is ultimately the best part, we want them to love it as much as we do.

Following the trend for staycation’s and hot tub accommodation, for the 2019 season we are adding a further 7 hot tubs to the park, bringing the total to 13 private hot tubs, as well as the communal hot tub for hire, located by out heated outdoor pool.
We are also excited to introduce four brand new, luxury one bedroom holiday homes, which are aimed towards couples breaks and solo travellers - coming to the park very soon!
