About Clifton Energy

Clifton Energy has over 10 years of experience providing the energy surveys required by commercial properties. Located just outside Crawley, on the border between Surrey and Sussex, we cover London and the South East of England.

Commercial Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

A commercial Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rates how energy efficient a commercial building is and must be made available to buyers or tenants whenever a building is bought or sold. Newly constructed commercial buildings are also required to have a commercial EPC. To find out more, give our Crawley-based team a call today.

Display Energy Certificates (DECs)

The law requires buildings over 250m² that are occupied in whole or in part by public authorities and frequently visited by the public to display a Display Energy Certificate (DEC).

TM44 Air Conditioning Inspection Reports

The Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations 2007 introduced a statutory obligation on any person who controls the operation of an air conditioning system, where the effective rated output is more than 12kW, to ensure that their system is inspected every 5 years by a qualified assessor.

New Build SBEM Calculations (Commercial Buildings)

All new build properties in Crawley and the rest of the UK require a Part L document to be compiled as part of the process to meet Building Regulations. A design stage SBEM calculation is required to be submitted to Building Control before any work commences on site. An on construction SBEM calculation is required within 30 days of completion of the building. This must be done by a qualified assessor and is required within 30 days of completion of the building along with an on construction EPC.

New Build SAP Calculations (Residential Buildings)

All new build properties require a Part L document to be compiled as part of the process to meet Building Regulations. A design stage SAP calculation is required to be submitted to Building Control before any work commences on site. An on construction SAP calculation is required within 30 days of completion of the building. This must be done by a qualified assessor and is required within 30 days of completion of the building along with an on construction EPC. Call our team, who are based in Crawley, for more information.

Advice on MEES (Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards)

From April 2018 changes to legislation will make it unlawful to agree a new lease for a commercial property with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of F or G. We have been advising our clients in Crawley, Surrey Sussex and London on how best to adapt to this legislation. Should you require advice please call Clifton Energy near Crawley today.
