How many staff do you have?
We have a team of 6 staff who are available to help with all your quote requests and design enquiries. Collectively on a daily basis we look after the customer from start to finish, creating quotes, processing orders, designing the printed products & then printing the approved artwork ready for collection/delivery.
Tell us more about what you do on a daily basis.
Our small team of staff are able to cope with large workloads and we are all kept extremely busy on a daily basis. I myself (Steve), have been the managing director for 16 years and take care of the general running of the business, as well as dealing with quotes and marketing plans. Angela processes customer orders & deals with any queries they may have. She also looks after customer accounts and has a great working relationship with many of our clients. Liam is our Sales Manager who has been with us 11 years. Liam’s role is to create sales through new customers & also by looking after our valued customers. He is also is in charge of Production & finishing. David is our graphic designer that has worked with us for 22 years. David is in charge of all things design related and looks after the customer from their initial Design ideas right through until ready to print. Donna is our Marketing Manager who has worked for us for 7 years. Donna is in charge of the Marketing of the Business which includes: Creating email campaigns, mailshots & looking after our web presence with web directories & social media. And last but not least, Marianna is our Press Operator who has worked with us for 18 years. Marianne is in charge of all Litho printing, running the press to create Spot Colour & CMYK Print runs. Marianne also gets involved with Print Finishing.
Do you have any products / services you would like to promote at Matrix Print and Design?
We have a new product that we’d like to Promote – Digital Embossing
Digital Embossing is the new sensation. This fantastic innovation makes print positively three dimensional. Compared with Digitally Embossed work, ordinary printing will simply leave you 'feeling rather flat'. Digital Embossing will make your message infinitely more compelling. It will make your printing no longer just a visual experience. Digital Embossing can be used to enhance the majority of coated papers and cards but is most effective when applied to thicker materials. It can also be applied to all laminated products ‐ either Gloss or Matt lamination, however it is most effective over Matt, where the contrast between the laminate and the emboss is striking. The process is equally effective on Litho and Digital Printed work. Digital Embossing is an environmentally friendly embellishment. It produces no harmful waste products or dangerous Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and uses small amounts of power in production.
